This lovely heart art box frame can be put together with just a few items. It’s a simple way to add a new, eye-catching little piece to your home.
Heart Box Frame – Supplies Needed:
• White box frame (Hobbycraft)
• Loctite Glue
• Dovecraft printed paper (Trimcraft)
• Wooden butterflies (Hobbycraft)
Step 1 –
Gather your supplies and start by cutting out a heart shape on a piece of cardboard. This will be your template.
Step 2 –
Use your heart template and cut out the hearts using different paper. I like it when the patterns on the papers compliment each other but aren’t too matchy matchy. .
Step 3 –
Once you have your heart shapes, arrange them on your white background and see what design you would like to work with. Then start gluing the paper to your background! This is the fun part! Start getting creative! 😊
Step 4 –
Glue on your wooden butterflies (or whatever else you would like) to your picture. I also added some green vine to mine.
Step 5 –
Place your design into your box frame and there you have it! A Valentine’s (or whenever) piece for your home.
I’m so excited to share with you how to make this easy DIY Valentine’s wreath!
I created it this morning in less than two hours, less time than it took to get my toddler to eat his breakfast! 😉
Follow the directions below to make your own romantic wreath!
DIY Valentine’s Day Wreath
• Wreath form
• Glue gun and glue sticks
• Various coloured roses on a vine and individual white flowers and leaves
• Punched hearts (from printed paper)
• Paper Love tag and a gold butterfly
Step 1. Get punching! I punched my paper hearts for this wreath with a heart paper punch and I got my romantic paper from TrimCraft.co.uk
Step 2. I took all the flowers off the flower vine and wound the vine around the outer edge of my circle. Then I positioned my flowers.
Next, take your individual green leaves and your large roses and position then around the wreath. Intertwining them as you go.
Next, step back and have a good look at your wreath and make sure you have it the way you want it. Then go in with your paper hearts and your glue gun and stick them where you feel you need to add some more to your wreath or where you feel your wreath needs some love!
Step 3. Now your wreath is blooming and beautiful but it needs something to say, LOVE!
I had bought some tags and glitter butterflies from Hobby Craft last Valentine’s day and decided to incorporate them into the wreath using my trusty glue gun!
And there you have it! A new Valentine’s wreath for your home! Your friends will think it took you HOURS! 😉
